We cannot state this enough. You need a ticket and a reservation to get into a park. If a park does not have availability, keep checking as it can change. Visit this link to check on park availability.
The best resource is Disney's website. Make sure you check back often to see if they have changed. Some parks can close early for events or possibly stay open later.
My Disney Experience (MDE) is the tool that pulls all your Disney plans together. It can be accessed via their website or from the smartphone app. Here you can link your resort stay, park tickets, dining reservations, Genie plans, view your Memory Maker photos and much more. Learn more about MDE.
Genie consists of 3 components. Genie is free to all guests. Genie+ allows you to gain access to the Lightning Lane on select rides this is a paid service. Individual Lightning Lane is 1-2 rides per park where you can pay to access the Lightning Lane for that attraction. Confused? Watch this video!
Are Magic Bands needed? No, but can be helpful for scanning into rides, Photo Pass and accessing your resort room. Resort guests may receive a discount based on availability through their MDE account.
Many will say that this is one of the best investments you can make for your trip. Gain access to all your park and attraction photos! Disney Dining is a very popular part of the planning process. Resort guests can make reservations 60 days prior to checkin. Nonresort guests 60 days from the dining date. If you cannot get a reservation, don't stress. Use Unlocked Magic to get alerts as reservations typically open the week of your vacation.
Disney Parks have an unwavering commitment to providing a welcoming, inclusive environment and accessible experiences for our Guests. As part of this commitment, Disability Access Service (DAS) is a program offered at Walt Disney World theme parks to assist Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability.
We highly recommend it. Disney pays them and costs you nothing extra. Use their expertise and experiences to help you plan and prepare for Disney.
Although you can rent a stroller in the parks, they are not the most comfortable for kids. We recommend Kingdom Strollers or Orlando Stroller Rental who will deliver the stroller directly to your resort. Bringing a stroller? Check to make sure it meets Disney's rules.
Ordering groceries is a great way to save money. Whether it is just bottled water and snacks or a food for meals, the savings adds. up. We recommend Vacation Grocery Delivery.
